Meister Media Worldwide Debuts New Initiatives and Leadership Enhancing their CropLife Business

Willoughby, Ohio — The business of agriculture is advancing through a transformational era as new societal and environmental trends, innovative products, enhanced production systems, and advanced technologies reshape how food is produced and distributed.

Growers have long relied on the ag retail crop input and service industry as the primary resource to evolve and adapt their operations for continued success. CropLife has for decades been the leadership voice for the ag retail industry, providing insights, intelligence, products, and services that help retailers succeed in advising their grower customers on this journey.

Now more than ever, CropLife leadership is essential as the industry navigates through global supply logistics disruptions, adapting agronomy programs to regenerative systems, new economic models with carbon capture, accelerating technology systems, and more. To help support that mission, Meister Media Worldwide is broadening its CropLife team resources to sustain and extend the brand’s leadership through this period of rapid change and great opportunity.

Lara Sowinski is joining Meister Media Worldwide as the new CropLife Group Editor starting March 7. She will add expertise in global logistics with her senior editorial management experience driving growth in magazines, custom publications, conferences, digital, and awards serving multiple industries. Lara joins the deep CropLife editorial team with Editor Eric Sfiligoj, Senior Online Editor Matt Hopkins, Senior Writer Jackie Pucci and Senior Editor & Production Manager Dan Jacobs, which is unmatched in the industry.

Group Business Director Tony Stein and Account Manager Jim Maddox joined CropLife on the business and sales side last year. They, along with Senior Account Manager Sal Settecase, bring a diversity of experience in related industries to help CropLife clients adapt to the new market realities.

CropLife has the further market advantage of support from Meister’s industry-leading digital group, events team, and Meister Custom business services, providing the capabilities to launch new and innovative products and services for the industry.

The CropLife brand, capitalizing on these capabilities, is launching several new initiatives to lead the industry forward. The inaugural TechHub LIVE event debuted last year and was a big success. Becoming the industry leading event for data-driven digital agriculture in the first year is a strong recognition of CropLife’s market leadership. Plans for the 2022 event in Indianapolis this summer are for an even bigger and stronger event. TechHub LIVE, as well as the broader focus of the Precision Ag Alliance this year, the launch of the PACE Executive Forum this fall, and the central role CropLife will play in Meister’s new Global AgTech Initiative, are all part of the exciting growth agenda for CropLife.
