Meister Media Worldwide’s PrecisionAg® Vision Conference Drives Technology with Industry Leaders from 13 Countries

Willoughby, OH, U.S. – November 3, 2017 – Meister Media Worldwide’s PrecisionAg® Vision Conference gathered nearly 170 industry leaders from 13 countries in Phoenix, AZ, U.S. October 10-12, 2017 to get an advance look at the impact that precision technologies are likely to have on global agriculture in the coming years. Sponsors of the 2017 PrecisionAg Vision Conference included SIMPASTM, Iteris®, Esri®, and EFC SystemsTM.

Attendees experienced an inspiring, close-up look at developments in critical precision agriculture including big data, smart irrigation, sensors, Internet of Things, and robotics. They also had the opportunity to participate in a field tour of the University of Arizona’s Field Scanalyzer the largest such device in the world; and Ak-Shin Farms, a precision grower. The goal: to demonstrate what we all can expect to be utilizing in the next two to three seasons.

Ernie Chappell of EFC Systems, referencing presentations at the conference including a detailed rundown of technology use at progressive grower R.D. Offutt and a look at Microsoft’s FarmBeats technology, said: “These are edge cases, but the edge cases of today are going to be the mainstream of tomorrow.”

“We worked diligently to deliver progressive and relevant content for today’s ag professionals,” said James C. Sulecki, Meister Media’s Chief Content Officer and Head of the company’s Global Precision Initiative. “We’re very pleased with the turnout and the quality of programming. Our attendees come from senior levels of management within their companies, and seemed to highly value our look forward sessions and the many opportunities to network with one another.”

“This conference is important for us,” said Jeff Keiser, Vice President, Strategic Sales and Marketing at Iteris Ag and Weather Analytics business. “We bring some of our key strategy folks here to be a part of the dialogue and the solution-creation process.”

The PrecisionAg Vision Conference will extend into its third year in 2018 as Meister Media vets multiple options and enhanced locales based on attendee feedback, with an expected announcement of the 2018 date and location in December 2017.
