Meister Media Worldwide Announces New Charter for The Global Ag Tech Alliance

Meister Media Worldwide, Inc. (MMW) today announced a new charter for the Global Ag Tech Alliance℠. The Alliance’s mission is to empower and support leaders working together to promote ag technology solutions for increased sustainability across agricultural inputs and food supply chains.

Members of the Global Ag Tech Alliance aim to increase ag tech understanding and adoption across the industry and work to create a unified voice for ag tech.

The new charter features notable updates. Now under the umbrella of MMW’s Global Ag Tech Initiative, the Alliance, through the work of a consortium of industry-leading organizations, is a principal source of research, advocacy and education in the areas of automation, digitization and computation with the common goal of advancing solutions for sustainable food production.

“Under its new charter, the Global Ag Tech Initiative’s Alliance is better positioned to realize its power and purpose at a critical time for our industry,” said Lara L. Sowinski, Group Editor, CropLife Media Group. “Today’s dynamic and diversified market requires technology solutions that deliver real results and value for all stakeholders in the food supply chain, from agriculture producers to end users. We are excited for the Alliance and the contributions it will make towards advancing ag tech.”

The Global Ag Tech Alliance was originally founded in 2006 as the Precision Ag Institute to help bring together a fractured and highly competitive ag technology industry. The name of the Alliance changed to embrace new technology in agriculture and its continued evolution, and to reflect its place as an integral part of MMW’s Global Ag Tech Initiative.

As part of the charter update, the Global Ag Tech Alliance is enlisting the services of a group of industry experts as advisors. Global Ag Tech Alliance advisors are experts in their respective fields and help guide the Alliance to achieve specific, measurable common goals.

“To bring additional horsepower to our mission, we’ve enlisted Kenneth Zuckerberg, Lead Industry Analyst and Research Strategist of CoBank; Jennifer Goldston, CEO of AgTech PR; and Jay Kelley, President of Beck Ag as expert advisers to help us and the alliance members create an environment in the agricultural markets for ag tech adoption,” said Joe Monahan, President and COO of MMW.
